Indian film actress Shilpa Shetty has been rumored as a forthcoming Bond girl for a while now, but with the newest James Bond film, QUANTUM OF SOLACE, well into production, it doesn't seem as if Shilpa will get the call from the Bond producers. There's always next time, of course, and it would be wonderful to see a real Indian woman make the Bond grade. (A lost opportunity occurred with the Roger Moore Bond film, OCTOPUSSY, which, despite being set in India, did not have the main female lead played by an Indian actress.)
